I practiced full scale gliding during a few years. This is certainly the best activity to experience the sensations of flight and to learn pilotage.

Currently, I’m practicing RC flying in the club CRPAL, Anthisnes, Belgium. I started with an RTF (Ready to Fly) plane. But, for me, the conception and the construction of my airplanes become quickly the most interesting part of the activity. Indeed, for DIY enthusiast, the construction of model aircrafts is a very interesting discipline. We are working with woods, metals and composite materials. We do mechanics, electronics. The tools used for construction range from simple scalpel to CNC machines. These machines are often built entirely by the model maker. In addition to the purely technical aspect, we are interested in aerodynamics to improve the flying qualities of its aircraft.

To continue to increase my piloting skill, I’m participating to precision aerobatics competitions (F3A). I did the first season in the Sportsman category in 2009 with a galaxy. In 2010, I went in the national category. For this, I built my first 2 meters pattern plane: the graviton. For the last competition of 2010 and during the 2011 season, I used a plane with a very special design: the anti-graviton.
